When megaupload when down I thought some riots and shit would go down, but people just sort of just let it pass. They were my favorite and I kinda wish Anonymous would have stepped in and helped them :c

Whats dumb is they went and arrested Megaupload's CEO and reposessed all his shit. How the fuck is he supposed to control the millions upon millions of files uploaded to the site EVERY day? US government is fucking dumb i swear.

If he's the CEO, doesn't that make him responsible for the activity that's gone on there? I could understand if this was a group using it for a different purpose entirely, but the site was made for what people ended up using it for. As a result, he made a profit and is therefore a criminal for making money from piracy. Besides, attacking the head of the site and other higher-ups is infinitely easier than tracking down every single person that's ever used the site for downloads.

Anyway, if SOPA had passed, I'd assume that there would be some major protesting. A lot of people were already boycotting companies that supported it, and I'd imagine that would have been taken further.

Yeah if SOPA did pass in general alot of areas would take a hit Gaming being a big one lot's of companies where going to boycott E3 the ESA's biggest paid event, among other things the Anime buisness would sink pretty hard too. On another note Mediafire is already being hit, files are being taken down left and right as we speak. So I wouldn't really think it'l be that long till it goes down tbf.
